  Dayo  Awoniyi Nigeria Football Federation have appointed Finidi George as the new Head Coach of the senior male National team, Super Eagles. Finidi emergence come after many weeks of speculation on who will replace  Jose Peisero, who departed after leading Nigeria to second position at African Cup of Nation hosted by Ivory Coast early this year. The newly appointed coach is the current gaffer of Nigeria Premier Football League side, Enyimba International who is the current defending champions of the Nigeria apex league. If the plan works as scooped by Deeonemedianews, Finidi will be assisted by either Emmanuel Amuneke, Daniel Amokachi or  Michael Nsien.

   The Electoral Committee of the 2024 FCT SWAN elections, has fixed Friday 10 May 2024 for the concluding part of the elections.  It could be recalled that the elections held on Friday 26 April 2024, winners could not emerge in the positions of the Chairman and the Treasurer.  In the Chairmanship position where Folusho Alade Oyekan, Tolulope Oguntimehin and Kelechi Onwudiwe contested, Oguntimehin and Onwudiwe polled 64 votes each, while Oyekan scored 8 votes. A total of 136 votes were cast.   The Nigeria Police Force,NPF, have said that the recent circulation of a video on social media, where motorists at a traffic stop point were being harassed and robbed by armed individuals, purporting to depict an incident that occurred in Abuja, Nigeria is misleading and falsehood. This was contained in a statement released by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, it read,  "After conducting a thorough digital forensics analysis, the NPF-National Cyber Crime Centre (NPF-NCCC) has determined that the incident actually took place in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. In quick response to the impeachment of Philip Shaibu, Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has announced Omobayo Godwin as his  successor, marking a swift  move to fill the vacancy left by Shaibu’s removal from office as deputy governor. The Minister of Education, Tahir Mamman, disclosed this during the first quarterly citizens and stakeholders’ engagement in Nigeria’s education sector on Tuesday, 2nd April, 2024, in Abuja. Tahir,  said, there would be transformation in the education sector with the unveiling of a 13-pillar roadmap. The minister revealed that for proper planning to be done in the sector, especially from a basic level, it has become imperative to build a reliable and authentic database that would promote skills acquisition, development and reduce to the nearest minimum, the number of out-of-school children. Nigeria finished second at the Games behind Egypt surpassing her previous record with a total of 47 Gold, 33 silver and 40 bronze medals. According to the lawmaker representing Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency, it is very sad that many of these athletes who made us proud in Ghana have not been paid their due allowances and bonuses.
