LMC fines Enyimba #10m for unruly behavior in Enugu on Sunday.

The League Management Company (LMC), have imposed heavy fine of Eight million naira(#10,000,000) on Enyimba International, as a response to the incidence that played out during Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) match day 35 against Rangers International at the cathedral in Enugu on Sunday 9th June 2024.


The match was abandoned in 97' minutes after a penalty was awarded to Rangers international when Rangers player was adjudged to have been fouled in the box eighteen by Enyimba player. The decision that didn't go down well with Enyimba players which led to the workout of the pitch.


In the events, some fans were also seen encroaching the pitch disrupting the continuation of the match which is against the rules of the game. Enyimba international is occupying the second position with two point behind the league leader, Rangers international.


Despite the ugly scene that played out in the match, kudos must be given to the fans and supporters who came out in thousands to watch the match which is an oriental derby.
