Fosla FC Emerges Champion of Inaugural HerGame Female Football Competition

Fosla FC's female football team emerged as the champion of the inaugural HerGame female football championship, organized by the HerGame Foundation. The team, owned by former Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president, Alhaji Sanni Lulu Abdulahi, defeated E Paul Football Club 4-2 in a penalty shootout after the game ended goalless in regular time.


The match was thrilling, with both teams showcasing excellent football skills, entertaining the fans. In the third-place match, Basic Queens defeated Josiah FC 5-4 in a penalty shootout, after neither team scored in 90 minutes.


Favour Etim of Paul E FC emerged as the highest goal scorer with six goals. Queen Joseph of Fosla FC was voted the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament, while Magdalene Etim of Paul E FC was awarded the best goalkeeper of the tournament.


The champion, Fosla FC, received ₦250,000, while the first runner-up, Paul E FC, received ₦150,000. The second runner-up, Basic Queens, was awarded ₦100,000.


Dignitaries who graced the grand finale included former NFF president, Alhaji Sanni Lulu Abdulahi, Nigeria U17 coach, Coach Bankole Olowookere, NFF representatives, FCT FA representatives, and other notable figures.
