The proprietor of Fosla Academy and former Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President, Alhaji Sanni Lulu Abdullahi, has revealed that producing superstar athletes is his priority, regardless of their family background.


Speaking with journalists after his academy's female football team emerged champions of the inaugural edition of the HerGame football tournament, beating Paul E FC 4-2 on penalties at the Area 3 playing ground on Sunday, he expressed his joy that the vision he had years ago  to positively affect lives is yielding great dividends.


"I'm happy today because my plan to help less privileged people in society achieve greatness in life through schooling and participating in sporting activities, regardless of their background, is yielding great outcomes," he said. 


"I can tell you that 80% of the students in Fosla Academy are on scholarship, and I am solely responsible for that. I have no regrets taking up the challenges because I am always fulfilled when I see the children succeeding in life."


It can be recalled that during his time at the helm of affairs at NFF, Alhaji Sanni Lulu introduced grassroots football development programs and scouting, which produced great players in Nigeria who are now playing international football. He appealed to individuals and corporate bodies to support the development of football in Nigeria in any way they can, because football is one of the unifying factors that bring progress to Nigeria.
