Organisers of one of the most prestigious awards in Nigeria, "Nigeria Pitch Awards", have disclosed that the event will maintain its credibility, transparency, and integrity, which are its trademarks, in arriving at the winners of various award categories when the event takes center stage on the date to be announced.

The President of the organization and Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Shina Phillips, while speaking with journalists during the media parley in Abuja, said that the award process takes meticulous and painstaking approaches, which have given it the privilege to vote for the best out of the pool of nominees. He further said that the college of voters comprises Nigerian journalists with brilliant minds and vast experience, as well as an independent collation body, SIAO, a respected accounting and auditing firm in Nigeria.

He, however, said that the award is meant to be sustained and also serve as an avenue to celebrate exceptional individuals, which will also pave the way for future generations who are aspiring for success to be motivated. One of the organisers, Nelson Adetokunbo, who also spoke during the event, said that for over a decade, Nigeria Pitch Awards have been staged without any interference from anybody, and they have built on this standard over time, ensuring that deserving winners always emerge. He also thanked journalists who have contributed immensely through voting to make the awards credible and reliable.

Speaking during the event, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Head of Communication, Mr. Ademola Olajire, said that NFF identifies with Nigeria Pitch Awards because of the integrity and innovative nature that have been displayed over time. Chairman, Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) FCT chapter, Kelechi Onwudiwe, appreciated the organisers for being transparent and also for making the awards all-inclusive over the years. He said sports journalists, especially in FCT, will continue to support good initiatives like this and also applauded the organisers for bringing the media parley to FCT.

Awards that can be won cut across different categories, ranging from Striker of the Year, Goalkeeper of the Year, Defender of the Year, Midfielder of the Year, to Club of the Year, Manager of the Year, Journalist of the Year in broadcast, print, and online media, amongst other awards.
