Super Falcons Gear Up for Paris 2024 Olympics

Nigeria's Super Falcons have begun preparations for their first Olympic appearance in 16 years, with 14 players reporting to camp in Jerez de la Frontera, outside Sevilla.


Team captain Rasheedat Ajibade, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, are already in camp.


Other players in camp include Tochukwu Oluehi, Chidinma Okeke, Nicole Payne, Christy Ucheibe, Toni Payne, Deborah Abiodun, Jennifer Echegini, Esther Okoronkwo, Morufa Ademola, and Gift Monday with defenders Osinachi Ohale and Michelle Alozie expected to join on Monday.


The team will face reigning Olympic champions Canada in a friendly match on July 17th in Sevilla. Canada won the gold medal in Tokyo three years ago, defeating Sweden 3-2 in a penalty shootout.


The Super Falcons have a rich history in the Women's Olympic Football Tournament, finishing sixth in Athens 2004 and making their debut in 2000 in Australia.


With a strong squad and determination, the Super Falcons are ready to make their mark at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
