NASARAWA PERMANENT SECRETARY, DANLADI, HONOURED WITH PRESTIGIOUS EMERITUS AWARD IN JOS.

 









Organizers of the annual Gusau/Ahlan Football Pre-season Cup Tournament on Friday, 31st August, presented the Permanent Secretary, Nasarawa State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Chief Barr. Isaac Danladi, with the coveted Emeritus Award at the finale of the 3rd edition of the Gusau/Ahlan Pre-season Cup Football Tournament at the New Jos International Stadium, Plateau State.


The award, according to the Organizers, recognises Danladi's outstanding contributions to the development of sports and youth empowerment in Nasarawa State and Nigeria as a whole.


"Barr. Danladi's tireless efforts and visionary leadership have made a lasting impact on the lives of countless young athletes and the sporting community in general.


"His exceptional service and dedication to sports development, innovative approaches to youth empowerment and engagement as well as inspiring leadership and mentorship."


Director General of the National Directorate of Employment and Chairman, Nationwide League One in Nigeria, Hon. Silas Ali Agara, presented the Emeritus Award to the dedicated and esteemed Nasarawa State public servant.


Barr. Danladi expressed gratitude and humility upon receiving the award, stating;


"I am thrilled and honoured to be bestowed with this award which highlights my contributions to sports and talents in the society.


"This will remain indelible in my heart and mind as it's coming from the echelon of football administration in Nigeria headed by my leader and mentor, Alh. Ibrahim Musa Gusau.


"I wish to dedicate this award to God Almighty, my sports-loving Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, and the entire peace-loving people of Nasarawa State and the sporting world in general.


"This will rather spur me to work even harder for the development of sports and talents in the society."


Lobi Stars FC of Makurdi defeated Wikki Tourists FC of Bauchi 4-3 via penalty shootout after regulation time ended 1-1 apiece in the entertaining but energy-sapping pre-season finale on Friday evening in Jos.
