Mr Ebi Egbe, the Chief Executive Officer,CEO, of Monimichelle sports facilities construction Limited have given insightful expert analysis on the important of good football pitch and it's  contributions to positive results.

Ebi  Egbe disclosed this why speaking with Deeonemedianews, in his words "The most important segment of football is the pitch condition before we start going further into coaching and administration etc etc.

"It's extremely important to have elite professional football players playing on an elite pitch".

He further said "Having elite professional football players playing on an elite pitch is important for several reasons:

"A well-maintained pitch enhances the quality of play. It allows for better ball control, accurate passing, and smoother movement, enabling elite players to perform at their best.

"Elite players are always worried about Injury Prevention. The Nigerian super Eagles elite professional invitees will never give their best performance on a 100% natural grass playing surface currently being used for elite football games in Africa most especially west Africa with the exception of Senegal.

"Elite pitches are high-quality pitches designed to minimize injury risk. They often have better drainage, cushioning, and surface materials that reduce the likelihood of slips, twists,.which could cause career ending injuries". 

Ebi however said, "consistency in ball movement is extremely important for an elite game like the World cup qualifiers and the Nations cup qualifiers. 

"The Nigerian Super Eagles Elite players from Europe have been trained over the years to play on  pitches that provide a consistent ball movement, which is crucial for professional elite football players  who rely on precision and predictability in their movements". 

"Variations in pitch quality can lead to inconsistent performances.

"The condition of a  pitch in an elite game can influence game strategies. An elite pitch allows teams to execute complex plays and tactics that might be hampered on a subpar surface.

"70% of the Nigerian premier league games are currently being played on subpar pitches that have similar ball movement like the pitches currently being used for elite games in Africa".

The pitch expert disclosed that "If the NFF throw all their eggs in one basket by inviting only the Nigerian super elite players for Benin Republic game coming up in the next weeks, the Nigerian National Team will struggle.

"As a certified professional groundsman that specialises in Natural turf for football and Golf, 3G synthetic and Hybrid pitches, I am still standing by my earlier submission  for the NFF to work with the Nigerian Premier league winning coaches and a 20 man team drawn from the Nigerian Premier league  for the Benin Republic game and we will get a convincing result".

He gave an insight to what Super Eagles will be experiencing when they play against Rwanda "The New Rwanda Amahoro national stadium has an elite pitch  for speed football, the Nigerian Super Eagles elite players will express themselves without fear of injuries and we will get a positive result.

"The pitch condition determines the ball movement and energy restitution of the players, which is the most important aspect of a 90 minutes game".
