FCT FA Takes Swift Action: Chairman Adam Mouktar Mohammed Orders Probe into Bye Election Incident

 






In a move that underscores the Federal Capital Territory Football Association's (FCT FA) commitment to transparency and fairness, Chairman Adam Mouktar Mohammed has directed the Ethics and Disciplinary Committee to conduct a thorough investigation into a serious incident that marred the recently concluded bye election.

The committee, which has been tasked with getting to the bottom of the incident, has been given a clear mandate to:

- Investigate the Incident: Gather facts, testimonies, and evidence from all relevant parties to establish the roles and responsibilities of individuals or groups involved.


- Assess Compliance with Rules and Regulations: Determine if any FCT FA statutes, election guidelines, or ethical codes were violated during the election process or related events.


- Recommend Disciplinary Actions: Propose appropriate sanctions or corrective measures, if necessary, in accordance with the FCT FA Constitution and relevant regulations.


- Provide Guidance for Future Elections: Offer recommendations to prevent the recurrence of such incidents and strengthen the integrity of future electoral processes.

The committee is expected to work efficiently, with a timeline that includes:

- Commencement of Investigation: Immediate start upon receiving the mandate.


- Submission of Interim Report: Within 14 days of the directive.


- Delivery of Final Report: Within 30 days, including findings, conclusions, and actionable recommendations.

Chairman Adam Mouktar Mohammed emphasized the importance of this investigation, stating, "The integrity of our association and the trust of our stakeholders depend on how we address issues of concern. This investigation is crucial not just to understand what transpired but also to reinforce the principles of accountability and fairness in FCT football governance."

The FCT FA has assured that the committee will receive the necessary resources and support to carry out its mandate effectively. Upon submission of the final report, the FCT FA Board will review the findings and take appropriate action to uphold justice and safeguard the association's reputation.
