Bala Mohammed Under Fire as Nigerian Youth Coalition Backs Presidency
The Nigerian Youth Coalition (NYC) has slammed Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, for his recent attacks on the Federal Government, accusing him of distorting national issues to suit his own agenda. The NYC alleges that Mohammed is attempting to precipitate an ethno-sectarian crisis to overshadow his poor performance as governor and evade accountability to the people of Bauchi state.
The NYC statement, signed by Lawan Mohammed, condemned Mohammed's comments, including his threat that the North may "show its true color" and "deal with the President." The coalition accused Mohammed of impersonating as the voice of the North without a mandate, and of promoting a sinister agenda.
The NYC urged President Tinubu's administration to ignore Mohammed's provocations and continue providing factual information that exposes public officeholders who have failed their constituents. The coalition also advised Mohammed to focus on repairing the damage he has done in Bauchi State instead of "blabbing" and causing unnecessary tension.
