FCT FA Boss Mouktar Shower Encomium On Edeh For Successful Benue Governor's Cup





The FCT FA Chairman, Alhaji Adam Mouktar Mohammed, and the entire FA board have congratulated the Benue State FA, led by Chief Dr. Paul Edeh Esq, on the successful organization of the 2024 Benue State Governor's Cup.


In his goodwill message during the grand finale, Alhaji Adam described the event as an opportunity for the government to engage youths and harness their potential. Represented by the First Vice Chairman of the FCT FA, Alhaji Salihu Kolo, he stated that the tournament showcases the commitment of State FAs like Benue in discovering, nurturing, and harnessing raw talents for national teams.


"I congratulate the entire Benue State FA board on this outstanding achievement," he said. "Every team gave a good account of themselves, demonstrating Nigeria's abundance of talent."


Alhaji Adam expressed confidence that this success marks the beginning of greater things in Benue State, citing the committed leadership of Governor Hyacinth Alia. He urged players to remain dedicated and focused, emphasizing that determination can achieve great things.


The grand finale, held at the JS TARKA Stadium in Gboko, Benue State, saw Team Katsina Ala LG ladies emerge victorious in the female finals, defeating Gwer West LG 3-1. Vandeikya Local Government won the male finals, edging Agatu Local Government 6-5 in penalties.

  The Federal Capital Territory Football Association (FCTFA) Ethics and Disciplinary Committee has suspended indefinitely  two of  their members, Babatunde Akintade Bocknor and Ezeh Ngozi Victoria.
