The Federal Capital Territory Football Association (FCTFA) Chairman, Alhaji Adam Mohammed Muktar, has stated that efforts are underway to improve football infrastructure in the FCT, with the goal of winning more laurels and promoting the game.

He made this known while addressing journalists in Abuja during an award ceremony to appreciate athletes who represented the FCT at various occasions during National Sports Festivals and National Youth games.

He said, "The standard things that need to be done in the FCT are in place, and we will continue to work harder to ensure that we achieve more results."

"We are preparing for the FCT League, and it will be memorable, as the FCT FA will go all out to ensure infrastructural development, which will help improve the game."

It can be recalled that the FCT football team won a bronze medal during the last edition of the National Sports Festival in Delta State, and preparations are in top gear for them to win a gold medal in the next edition in Ogun State.

Alhaji Muktar, however, appreciated the National Sports Commission (NSC) Chairman, Alhaji Sheu Dikko, for his support to the Federation and his unique initiatives that will bring greater development to Nigerian sports. He called on all stakeholders to continue supporting him.
