The stage is set for an electrifying semifinal showdown at the FCT President Cup, as four teams gear up to clash in a battle for supremacy. EFCC FC, Galadima FC, Family Worship Champions FC (FWC FC), and N-Youth Academy have all secured their semifinal spots, after two weeks of thrilling football.
The semifinal matchups promise to be intense, with defending champions EFCC FC facing off against Galadima FC at 2 pm, while FWC FC takes on N-Youth Academy at 4 pm on Monday, February 17th, at the FCT Sports Complex in Abuja.
EFCC FC booked their semifinal ticket with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Derby FC, marking their third consecutive win over their opponents. Galadima FC, on the other hand, sent a warning signal to other teams with a resounding 4-1 win over Milantarki Care FC, taking their goal tally to six, the highest in the competition so far.
FWC FC edged out Assess FA 4-2 in a penalty shootout, after a goalless 90 minutes, while N-Youth Academy proved their mettle in penalties once again, defeating Sporting Supreme 3-1 in a shootout, following a 1-1 draw in regular time.
With the national finals within sight, the four semifinalists will give it their all to secure a spot in the championship match. Football fans and stakeholders can expect a thrilling display of skills, tactics, and determination, as the teams battle for the coveted FCT President Cup trophy.
