FCT FA expresses shock over the demise of former Nigeria Referees Association President Tade Azeez

 




The FCT Football Association Chairman, Alhaji Adam Mouktar Mohammed on behalf of the FCT Football family has expressed  his heartfelt condolences to the Nigeria Referees Association, the Lagos State Football Association and the immediate family of the former President of Nigeria Referees Association, Otunba Tade Azeez.


The FCT FA Chairman, Alhaji Adam Mouktar Mohammed, commiserates with the Football family and immediate family of Otunba Azeez who was reported to have given up the ghost at about 2.45pm on Friday, 25th April 2025, after a brief illness at  age 63.


Alhaji Adam Mouktar Muhammed described the demise of the former Vice Chairman of the Lagos State Football Association as great loss  not to only football, but sports in general.


In his words “This is coming to us in the FCT as a shock. Only a few days ago, we were mourning the death of former FIFA referee Bosede Momoh. This is not just a loss, but a heavy loss. 


“All we can say is that we pray that Almighty Allah grant his soul eternal rest. Grant his family and friends, and Nigeria football’s family the fortitude to bear this great loss.” He said.

 

Alhaji Mouktar described the late Tade Azeez  as an eminent stakeholder in Nigeria football, who during his lifetime contributed immensely to the growth and development of the game.
