Hosts Customs set to battle Mayo in opening match of Women's African Club Championship

Host team Customs Service of Nigeria is gearing up to face Mayo Kane Evolution of Cameroon in the opening match of the 2025 Women's African Club Championship today.


The match, scheduled to take place at the Moshood Abiola Sport Stadium, will mark the beginning of the prestigious tournament, which is being held in Nigeria for only the second time after a 29-year absence.


Customs Service of Nigeria will have the support of the Chief Patron, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as they take on Mayo Kane Evolution in front of their home fans.


The championship, which runs from April 1st to April 14th, will feature 16 teams from across the continent, all vying for the top prize.


The draws for the tournament were held at the Exclusive Serene Hotel in Abuja on Wednesday, with CAVB President and FIVB Vice President Bouchra Hajij in attendance.
