Eagles AFCON Monies: NFF applauds CBN for working assiduously on payment process

  The Nigeria Football Federation has decried insinuations in some quarters that the Central Bank of Nigeria is delaying payments of match bonuses and allowances due to the Super Eagles at the ongoing 34th Africa Cup of Nations finals in Cote d’Ivoire.   “That is sheer idle talk without substance. The NFF is grateful to the CBN for the way and manner they have continued to expedite action on payment requests that we have sent to them with regards to this competition. Nigeria U20 girls, Falconets, have earned a place at this year’s FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup finals after a goal by Opeyemi Ajakaye eventually brought down hard-fighting Burundi in a final round, second leg encounter at the MKO Abiola National Stadium on Saturday evening. Dapo Abiodun knocked Adebutu at Supreme Court

Dayo Awoniyi Supreme court today in it's judgment affirmed Governor Dapo Abiodun as the duly elected Governor of Ogun state. In the judgment delivered on Friday, Tijjani Abubakar, who led the five-member panel, dismissed the appeal filed by Ladi Adebutu, governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the last elections. In his rulings he said,“In the end, this appeal is unmeritorious and deserves to be dismissed. It is hereby dismissed,” Election conducted by   Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in March 2023, declared Abiodun winner with 276,298 votes, however, Ladi Adebutu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) scored 262,38 while  Biyi Otegbeye of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) came  third with 94,754 votes. Aftermath of  the election, PDP and Adebutu approached the tribunal, alleging that the governor did not get the majority of valid votes cast in the March 18 governorship election. Lions roar as they devour Gambia in an attempt to defend the trophy

  Franklyn Imonah Teranga Lions of Senegal started their Cup defense on a good note as they defeated their neighbor, Gambia by 3-0. NRFF President Rallies Federation Ahead of African Games, Olympics
