Dogo leaves Kwara Utd as Tunde Sanni takes charge as Head Coach

    Kwara United Football Club have appointed Coach Tunde Sanni as the new Head Coach following the sudden departure of Kabiru Dogo who has rejoined Nasarawa United.  Sanni's new role will be on Interim Capacity.  This decision was confirmed by Kwara United's Chairman, Kumbi Titiloye, who received Kabiru Dogo's resignation late on Friday evening. Kumbi Titiloye expressed his support for Dogo's decision, wishing him well at Nasarawa United and affirming that the club would announce Tunde Sanni's assistant soon. Titiloye also stated that Dogo's unexpected resignation has not discouraged the club, but it has instead motivated them to work harder and deliver strong performances. Kwara United is set to face Niger Tornadoes in their first match of the new NPFL season next weekend at the Kwara State Stadium complex in Ilorin.

  Dayo  Awoniyi The Nigeria Football Coaches Association summer football competition has reached its crescendo, and the boys have been separated from the men, paving the way for the final matches that will take place tomorrow, 31st August 2024.  According to the statement released by the Local Organising Committee Chairman, Coach Salisu Haske, the categories that intending champions will be vying for include U13, U15, and U17, respectively.  The final matches, to be played at Bwari Township Stadium, will see Yaba Stars FC lock horns with Sporting Dreams FC at 11 am in U15, while U13 will witness a cracker between Bwari United and Sporting Dreams FC at 12 pm, and the final match of the day in U17 will be between Starlite FA and Optimum FA at exactly 1 pm.  Important dignitaries in and outside Bwari are expected to grace the finals, which promise to be interesting encounters, as football fans, supporters, and enthusiasts have been thrilled to mouthwatering matches since the beginning of

ABS Ilorin FC Unveils New Technical Crew, PTDP Players

   Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) Ilorin FC is pleased to announce the unveiling of its new Technical Crew, led by former Warri Wolves gaffer, Sani Ahmed Sarduna, as the club's new Technical Adviser. The unveiling ceremony, held at Crystal Hotel Ilorin on Thursday, also saw the introduction of the 30 selected ABS FC Players Training Development Programme(PTDP) players. Sani Sardauna, a certified coach with about two decades of experience, brings in a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the club. He holds advanced coaching certifications from the National Institute of Sports (NIS) and UEFA, obtained in 2006 and 2008 respectively.       The Nigeria Football Federation has announced that it has reached an agreement with German tactician, Bruno Labbadia, to become the Head Coach of Nigeria’s Senior Men National Team, Super Eagles.   NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, said in the early hours of Tuesday: “The NFF Executive Committee has approved the recommendation of its Technical and Development Sub-Committee to appoint Mr. Bruno Labbadia as the Head Coach of the Super Eagles. Heartland FC announces the passing of Coach Christian Obi

  With sadness in our heart and with total submission to the will of God, Heartland FC is announcing the death of Christian Power Obi who died on Friday 23rd August, 2024 from a road accident en route Abakaliki, Ebonyi State to participate in the TICO/SELECT Ifeanyi Ekwueme Preseason Tournament. The heart breaking day saw the Heartland FC team departing the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri for the preseason Tournament with enthusiasm at around 3:30pm in three vehicles but at about some minutes after 4pm, one of the vehicles rammed into a carelessly parked truck in its attempt to evade an oncoming vehicle. The driver tried as he could but the impact of the collision caused a sudden shock to our coach, Christian Obi who was unconscious with a slight injury to his right leg upon evacuation from the badly affected part of the bus. Dr. Abdul also used the medium to thumb up the valiant efforts of his two Weightlifters: Rafiatu Folashade Lawal and Joy Ogbonne Eze who gave a very good account of themselves in their various weight classes but narrowly missed medals.  Lawal, competing in the women's 59kg, came 5th overall after putting up a spectacular show including lifting a personal best. Heartland FC unveil Emmanuel Amuneke as new gaffer.

  Dayo Awoniyi Former  Nigeria U17 world cup winning coach, Emmanuel Amuneke, has been unveiled by Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma as the new head coach of Heartland FC. Heartland who was relegated to Nigeria second tier league, Nigeria National League, NNL, was reported to have  acquired the slot of the newly promoted club Beyond Limits, and will play in the NPFL for the 2024/25 season.
